Latest Technology of Win Western Digital and Spotifcations

Western Digital® and Spotify® recently teamed up to offer the popular music service on WD’s equally popular media players. And to celebrate, they've collaborated with TrustedReviews to give away 5 x WD TV Live HD media players each with a 3 month Spotify Premium subscription.

All you’ve got to do to be in with a chance of winning is to head to the Western Digital facebook page and answer the multiple choice questions. The competition will finish on 19th of December.
We’ve reviewed several of the WD TV range over the years – from the original WD TV to the more recent WD TV Live Hub – and have consistently been impressed. They provide an easy one-stop solution for playing back all your multimedia files on your telly, with an intuitive interface easily navigated using the simple remote – just plug in  the WD TV Live and away you go.

As the Spotify tie-in suggests, the latest WD TV Live models also include wired and wireless networking for accessing not only your own media from network storage, but third party services including Deezer, YouTube, Facebook, Dailymotion and now Spotify.

We’ve yet to review the latest WD TV Live model, but rest assured we’ll be taking a look just as soon as we can.

As for the Spotify side of the equation, you’ll need a Spotify Premium account to access the service, but for that £9.99 a month you get unlimited music streaming along with access from your mobile. The app will incorporate many of the standard Spotify features – including the ability to create and manage your playlists, easily share songs with Spotify friends, and see and subscribe to friends’ playlists via their Spotify profiles. You can also share tracks by sending songs directly to other Spotify users’ inboxes.

The competition is based on a points scoring system - the more you participate, the more points you accumulate.

Scoring system:
    1.    Answering the questionnaire (2 points per correct answer).
    2.    By inviting friends and having them join the competition (1 point per friend up to a cap of 20 points per contest).
    3.    By answering the question of the day which will be posted at a random time during the day. Only one participant can answer this question per day. The first one to answer it correctly gets 10 extra points.
