Seagate to launch 3TB Barracuda XT hard drive

3TB might not be something new, but it’s still a rare sight to see a 3TB brick lying around. Seagate has announced that their Barracuda lineup will now have 3TB capacity too. Called the Barracuda XT, the drive is equipped a SATA 6.0Gbps interface, a 64MB of cache memory and works at 7,200 RPM. The 3TB Barracuda XT is available for purchase now for $279.
