Recently OCZ Technology is offering its new 2.5-inch Vertex 3 and the enterprise-class Vertex 3 Pro solid state drives both are the new generation of superb quality and enhance capacity of solid drives.
Both series uses SATA III interface to deliver twice the performance of the earlier generation Vertex 2. Both of them feature TRIM support to optimize recital over the drive’s lifespan.
The consumer-grade Vertex 3 is based on 2Xnm MLC NAND flash technology and exploits the new SandForce SF-2200 SSD processor offering up to 500MB/s write transfer rates and 550MB/s read and up to 60,000 IOPS (4k random write). It comes in 120GB and 240GB competences. On the other hand, the Vertex 3 Pro enterprise SSD sport uses enterprise-grade MLC NAND flash and SandForce SF-2500 SSD SATA III processor.
It comes in three amazing 100GB, 200GB, and 400GB models. This maximized speed considerably improves multimedia, gaming and the overall computing skill more than traditional mechanical hard drives, including other competing SSDs.
