Tichno is a robot built by Vstone, that is meant to advertise for window stores. Usually Vstone develops robots that are meant for hobbyist to robots that are champions of the Robocup, but now they are reaching out to the advertising field. Tichno advertises by dancing, singing, talking, and doing other gestures such as hand waves.

Less than a month since the iPod touch-based Robovie-mR2, the folks at ATR and Vstone already have something new. The Robovie R3 humanoid robot. It’s designed primarily to aid in research involving the elderly or disabled and the R3 is apparently “life-sized,”.
The R3 has 11 touch sensors throughout the body and a pair of USB cameras for eyes, two microphones and a speaker, an optional laser range finder, and a top speed of 2.5 kilometers per hour. It’s pretty good at moving around and can move omnidirectionally and even overcome small changes in floor height. It’s “gripper hands” presumably can handle all of the basic needs with ease.
It isn’t fo you and I however. It’s for researchers, so it will only be available to institutions working with robots for ¥3,800,000 (About $41,000).
